The Faces of Albania

No matter how exotic, historic, or scenic a destination is, it is the local people who usually leave us with the most unique and memorable impressions and the people of Albania are no exception. Throughout my brief journey there, I was lucky enough to meet all sorts of people – from simple villagers and city folk to government officials, Muslim and Christian priests, and of course my driver and guides and everybody who welcomed us at their hotels and restaurants. Everyone everywhere was genuinely friendly and hospitable and even though many spoke little or no English, they were eager to start a conversation and share details of their everyday lives, for which I am extremely grateful.  FALEMINDERIT!
